Wacker Chemie offers bioactive ingredients for the development of dietary supplements. The company's portfolio includes CAVACURMIN® powder, which enhances the dispersibility – and, consequently, the bioavailability of curcumin by means of encapsulation in cyclodextrins. Another is the bioactive compound hydroxytyrosol which has the ability to reduce LDL (low-density lipoprotein) cholesterol levels. The company also announced recently that a human clinical study has demonstrated the ability of hydroxytyrosol HTEssence® in reducing LDL (low density lipoprotein) cholesterol.
