The US market is now introduced to WM Wrapping Machinery Sa, based in Stabio (Switzerland), a company that has begun designing and manufacturing thermoforming machines in 1981, and producing complete in line systems since 1993.
WM is present globally through a well-trained sales organization with 7 Area Managers in charge of taking care and maintain continuous relationships with customers. Today WM has supplied more than 1000 machines in over 60 countries and more than 100 complete in-line extrusion and thermoforming systems.
During the last year WM has worked hard to locate the best solution to commence operations the in US and to ensure future customers, the best service possible. To reach this goal WM has reached an agreement with one of the most experienced and knowledgeable thermoforming professionals in the US, Mr. Kent Johansson.
Mr. Kent Johansson is working in close relation with WM Area Manager, Mr. Luca Oliverio, who will coordinate and form the US sales and technical teams, which will have a permanent home at the Elkhorn Tech Center (501 Koopman Lane - Elkhorn, WI 53121 - info@elkhorntechcenter.com ).
At NPE 2015 (Booth S12139), WM will show its largest model of Tilting Machine Series technology, the FT 900. The FT 900, punch and die thermoforming machine with lower tilting platen, has 34.6” x 20.4” platen size with 82,5 US ton clamping force. The machine will run a 54 cavities mould with a PP yogurt container 73,5 mm diameter (2,9 “).
The machine will run an Exxonmobile PP6262 grade that contribute to a fast set-up time and potential energy efficiency. Meanwhile, high melt flow rates (MFR), fast crystallization rates and easy mold release offer opportunities for fast cycle times and high productivity, resulting in an excellent return on capital. After the show this machine will be displayed in the Elkhorn facility, where WM will introduce the US technical staff and sales teams.
