OVER140 of the leading names in the international agricultural trade presented their products, technologies and services to complement region-wide efforts at the three-day Agra Middle East 2011, which ended on 31 March. The world's top agribusinesses addressed surging food demand during the latest and biggest edition of the trade show at the Dubai World Trade Centre's Dubai International Exhibition Centre.
"The UAE is a fitting place to hold Agra Middle East, as it has the highest population growth rate in the world and is fully aware of the importance of investing heavily on food security. Visitors and exhibitors can expect to gain valuable insights on which technologies and techniques complement the region's food needs and how the UAE has been optimising their use. Decision-makers will appreciate how the show has been organised around five separate areas to allow them to focus on their particular agendas and requirements," said Goutam Malhotra, exhibition manager, Agra Middle East.
