Yamazaki Mazak expands Singapore plant, launches new product

Yamazaki Mazak Corp.'s Singapore factory has factory has been going through its 5th expansion since it's opening in 1992. The expansion will be completed by the end of this year and will also include a new Technology Centre. This new facility is expected to be fully operational next year.

After expansion, the production capacity will increase to 130 units per month from the existing 90 units per month. The company aims to meet high demands from India where Singapore has FTA with other South East Asia nations.

Consequently, Yamazaki Mazak launched a new model compact CNC lathe, called QUICK TURN PRIMOS, in Asia including Japan and India, which is produced in the Singapore factory.

The small QUICK TURN PRIMOS produced at the Singapore factory is a series of 2 axis CNC lathe for mass production or automotive industries. It features a space-saving compact design and delivers cost-effective solutions with high performance. Within such a compact size, a built-in main spindle delivers high speed and high accuracy. It is designed to be user-friendly operation and allows easy maintenance. Various options are added to improve automation and productivity. The smallest yet the most efficient compact lathe with enhance operability, maintainability, and automation to the maximum.
