Youtiao brand to be sold in Wal-Mart in China

AMERICAN Lorain Corporation has successfully met the requirements of Wal-Mart in China, and will be supplying more than 400 outlets around the country with its Youtiao brand of products. The international company offers processed snack foods, convenience foods, and frozen foods.

For its part, Wal-Mart also agrees to promote the Youtiao brand on its public platform, including Weibo and WeChat.

American Lorain expects revenues to soar following this transaction. According to Chairman and CEO Mr. Si Chen, “We are all very excited that American Lorain and Wal-Mart have achieved a breakthrough in our cooperation. Soon, there will be over 400 Wal-Mart stores in China agreeing to only purchase Lorain branded Youtiao product. Our exclusive presence in the Youtiao category with these Wal-Mart stores helps to significantly to spread our brand recognition in China. We believe that this is just the beginning as we are working closely with Wal-Mart to launch more innovative products in the near future. We believe that it will bring more long-term benefits for the company and our shareholders.

Located in Shandong Province, the company has 13 food production lines, which can supply more than 200 kinds of product categories. It has over 30 offices all over China. The company also supplies markets in Japan, South Korea, the United States, Taiwan, Southeast Asia and Europe.
