Zambello presents its TST Series Super High Torque Gearboxes at TaipeiPlas

At this week's TaipeiPlas, Zambello's booth features its range of gearboxes.

Zambello gearboxes have been developed and launched with the intention to boost machine performance to meet the goals towards decreased costs.

Understanding the role played by a gearbox in the extruder as an important component where main motor power is transferred from the motor to the extruder to amplify the torque, the design of the gearbox took into consideration the whole process. As the gearbox itself does not generate any power, so the more it completely passes on the power of the electric motor, then the more energy savings can be achieved. In domestic un-grinded gearbox generally, the transmission efficiency is about 75%~85%, which also means the motor spends $100 on the electricity, functioning drive gearboxes, and after gearbox passes the kinetic energy to the screw, it only cost $75~$85 to produce the extruded products, and the rest of the $15~$25 is the friction being converted to thermal energy, and was consumed by the gearbox, resulting wastage.  

But Zambello Riduttori's gearbox, which has been developed through R&D and the company’s design departments for the past 30 years with parts produced tapping Germany high-tech grinding processing machines, has resulted in the grinding precision of each gear reaching the Germany standard DIN4 level. As a result, the energy transmission efficiency of the Zambello gearbox can be up to 92%, thus, reducing energy consumption which has been the target of every processor.  

In particular, the Zambello's TST series is the latest range of its Super High Torque, Co-rotating Twin Screw Extruder gearbox.  Nowadays ZAMBELLO manufactures gearboxes for twin-screw extruders starting from a centre distance between screws of 21.5 mm up to a centre distance between output shafts 116 mm.
The increasing demand for higher performances coming from the manufacturers of co-rotating twin-screw extruders has encourage Zambello to develop the new TST gearbox range. The new system of torque distribution has enabled the company to increase considerably the output speed (up to 1800 rpm.) and also the density of the transmissible torque (up to 35 Nm/cm3).

The TST gearboxes now available in the range start with a centre distance of 21.5 mm (TST 21,5/26 COR) and reach 116 mm (TST 90/112 COR). Bigger sizes are already planned. The gearboxes of this series have been developed by featuring excellent compactness. 
 

Also for this series the axial thrust is supported by an axial roller-type swivel thrust-bearing of the 294..e series, coupled with thrust bearings assembled in tandem. All these bearings are purchased from the fiAir Jordan 4 IV Retro 30TH
