Zeus Industrial Products targets automotive and aerospace markets

Zeus Industrial Products (Ireland), Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zeus, has been awarded ISO/TS16949 certification as a manufacturer and supplier to the automotive industry. Based on the ISO 9001 standard, the TS16949 is a technical specification that emphasizes a quality management system to provide continuous improvement and safety while focusing on defect prevention.

The certification is just one of many steps taken by the polymer extrusion manufacturer to position itself for growth. It also holds ISO AS9100c, a similar certification for Aerospace, and recently completed an expansion of its Letterkenny facility that now totals more than 8300 sq. meters (90,000 sq. feet).

Fluoropolymers and other engineered plastics, such as polyether ether ketone (PEEK), are  becoming the materials of choice for applications requiring high performance properties like hydraulic, wire coating, fiber optic, and sealing. Zeus extrudes PEEK and other materials into spiral wrap, convoluted tubing and heat shrink products that maintain exceptional physical properties even when exposed to elevated temperatures or aggressive chemicals.
