FrieslandCampina: Circular and carbon neutral packaging

What happens to dairy packaging after it has been emptied? Plastic and carton packaging are segregated from other trash to go through sorting according to material, and then to recycling for use again as packaging. Sounds well and good, except that these processes can require high temperatures and energy.

FrieslandCampina aims to use sustainable packaging that’s also circular, and the company is working with partners to help create better systems for collection, sorting, and technologies for the best recycling.
