It's a busy month for companies heading to major trade events, notably ProPak Asia and the FOOD TAIPEI Mega Shows. Our June issue previews these gatherings, along with highlights carried over from April's coverage of the influential interpack 2026.

Technologies are being presented as solutions to persistent production challenges: fluctuating costs, supply chain disruptions, environmental pressures, regulatory compliance,and shifting consumer demand, particularly for products that deliver health, taste, and affordability. These challenges have long overwhelmed the industry in Asia.

The response seems obvious: greater investment in new, faster, and more efficient machinery, advanced materials, safer ingredient solutions, as well as the integration of Al-driven data systems. Manufacturers must accelerate adoption of the latest innovations. From a practical standpoint, it is about building resilience in an increasingly competitive landscape.
