Toyo Seiki Precision Equipment (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned overseas subsidiary of Tokyo Seimitsu Co., Ltd., a Japanese publicly traded company. The Tokyo Seimitsu Group first entered the Chinese market in 1994 through a representative office. In order to better serve its customers, the representative office was upgraded to a legal entity in 2002. The company is primarily engaged in the sales and related after-sales service of precision measuring equipment and semiconductor manufacturing equipment produced by the Tokyo Seimitsu Group.

In 2010, Tokyo Seimitsu Co., Ltd. increased its investment in China, expanding the business scope of Toyo Seiki Precision Equipment (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. to include production and processing functions. The same year, the company established a manufacturing plant in Pinghu—Pinghu Toyo Seiki Precision Equipment Co., Ltd.—thus truly beginning its assembly and manufacturing operations in China.

With the rapid development of China's manufacturing industry and the widespread application of big data, the company has recently established an R&D department to meet the growing needs of its customers, contributing to the realization of more advanced, fully integrated automated functions for measuring and semiconductor equipment.
