WELE Mechatronic Co., Ltd. was established in 2007 and founded by Chairman Yung-Chang Kuan. The company is 63% owned by WELE employees and its management team, while 37% is held by Japan’s JTEKT Group. JTEKT is affiliated with the Toyota Group and owns machine tool brands including TOYODA.
WELE’s core management and technical team mainly comes from the Mechanical and Mechatronics Systems Research Laboratories of Taiwan’s Industrial Technology Research Institute. The team has more than 30 years of experience in machine tool research and development, manufacturing, and business operations.
The company specializes in the development of large bridge-type machining centers, advanced five-axis machines, and high-precision machining centers. Its headquarters and Hsinchu plant are located in Xinpu Township, Hsinchu County, while another manufacturing facility is located in the Central Taiwan Science Park in Taichung.
With high rigidity, high precision, and large-component machining capabilities as its core strengths, WELE provides a wide range of CNC machine tools and complete machining solutions. The company aims to become an internationally competitive high-end machine tool brand.
