KT Medical Inc. builds on more than 40 years of metal wire manufacturing experience from its parent company, Kwang Tai Metal Industrial Co., Ltd. The company applies precision wire-drawing, material processing, and metalworking technologies to the medical device industry.

Its core business focuses on the development and manufacturing of medical-grade metal wires, guidewires, and precision wire-formed components. Based on customer requirements, the company provides services including material selection, dimensional control, surface coating, wire tapering, coil manufacturing, bending and forming, and customized guidewire design.

The company processes materials including medical-grade stainless steel, nitinol, titanium, tungsten, and other specialty alloys. Its products are mainly used in cardiovascular intervention, urological treatment, endoscopy, catheters, stents, stone retrieval baskets, and minimally invasive surgical instruments.

Guidewire specifications can be customized according to the required diameter, length, stiffness, tip design, radiopaque markers, and PTFE surface coating.

KT Medical is certified to ISO 13485:2016 for medical device quality management. It has also obtained Taiwan’s medical device quality management system certification and registration as a foreign medical device manufacturer in Japan.

The company operates its headquarters and manufacturing facility in Kaohsiung, with an additional facility in Tainan and regional sales offices or representatives in the United States, Switzerland, and Japan.
