Company Introduction
Grain Processing Corporation was founded in 1943 as a government industrial alcohol plant connected to the World War II synthetic rubber program. After the war, production shifted from industrial alcohol to beverage alcohol. In 1959, the company began corn wet-milling operations and later expanded into unmodified corn starch, acid-modified and oxidized starches for industrial use. In 1969, GPC introduced its MALTRIN® hydrolyzed starch products, including maltodextrins and corn syrup solids.
Today, GPC’s portfolio includes functional carbohydrates, starches, resistant starch, maltodextrins, corn syrup solids, pulse ingredients, specialty soy ingredients, industrial starches, nutraceutical ingredients, and personal care ingredients. The company further expanded its plant-based offering through the acquisition of Natural Products Inc., adding chickpea and specialty soy products to its portfolio. GPC continues to serve global food, beverage, nutraceutical, personal care, and industrial customers through consistent manufacturing quality, non-GMO ingredient expertise, application support, global export capability, and U.S.-based research and production facilities.
