Asia Polymer Corporation began production at its Lin Yuan plant in 1979 with an annual LDPE capacity of 75,000 metric tons. Following the addition of a third line in 1985, the company expanded into EVA and increased its designed annual capacity to 100,000 metric tons.

In 1997, APC became a member of USI Group. This group structure provides access to raw-material, manufacturing, technical, sales and international distribution resources while allowing APC to adjust its LDPE and EVA production mix according to market demand.

APC manufactures LDPE and EVA resins using a high-pressure autoclave process supported by modern production controls. Its LDPE portfolio covers film, extrusion, injection, coating, lamination, wire insulation and powder-coating grades. Its EVA portfolio covers footwear foam, injection foam, photovoltaic films, hot-melt adhesives, wires and cables, and cast-film applications.

For footwear applications, EVA grades can be selected according to vinyl-acetate content and melt index to achieve the required softness, elasticity and processability. High-VA EVA grades also support photovoltaic encapsulation films, hot-melt adhesives and high-performance cable compounds.

APC provides technical services to assist customers with blown-film, extrusion, injection, foaming and coating problems. Standard products are supplied in 25kg heavy-duty polyethylene bags, with palletised and sea-bulk packaging available upon request.

The company’s main value is its ability to supply LDPE and EVA grades with different densities, vinyl-acetate contents and melt-flow characteristics from one high-pressure polymerisation platform. Customers can select materials according to clarity, flexibility, foaming performance, adhesion, processing speed and mechanical requirements.
