Company Introduction
HONTKO began as a distributor of industrial sensors, potentiometers, LVDTs, pressure sensors and control components. After establishing its manufacturing operation in 1995, the company developed its own optical encoders, draw-wire displacement sensors and CNC handwheels under the HONTKO brand.
An encoder converts mechanical movement into an electrical signal that can be interpreted by a machine controller. This feedback enables a control system to monitor position, speed, direction and travel, making the encoder a key component in closed-loop motion control and automated machinery.
HONTKO offers optical and magnetic sensing products in solid-shaft, hollow-shaft, measuring-wheel and draw-wire configurations. Available outputs include incremental pulses, absolute digital values, SSI, RS-485, Gray code, binary code and analogue signals. This range enables machine builders to select products according to installation space, measuring distance, resolution and control-interface requirements.
The company’s main value is its ability to provide multiple mechanical formats, signal types and resolution levels from a single product platform. Standard and customised solutions are available for CNC machines, injection-moulding equipment, conveyors, packaging machines, elevators, servo systems and other automated equipment.
