Mytrex’s technology base dates back to 1990, while the current legal entity was established in 2021 following a corporate restructuring. The company converts thermoplastic polymers into fine-fibre meltblown webs and applies electrostatic charging, ultrasonic lamination, embossing and multilayer bonding to create materials with specific filtration, acoustic, thermal or absorption performance.
For air filtration, Mytrex supplies HVAC, HEPA and mask-filter media. Fine meltblown fibres provide a large filtration surface, while electrostatic charging improves particle capture without relying only on higher material density and pressure drop.
For automotive applications, the company develops lightweight acoustic materials for cabins, wheel arches and other vehicle structures. These materials help reduce noise while supporting vehicle-weight reduction. Electric vehicles create additional demand because tyre, wind and high-frequency motor noise become more noticeable without conventional engine noise.
Liquid-filtration products cover chemical processing, water treatment and blood filtration. These applications require control of pore size, flow, pressure drop, cleanliness, chemical compatibility and, where applicable, biological safety.
Mytrex’s main value is its ability to adjust polymer selection, fibre structure, basis weight and composite construction around the customer’s final product. The company can support development from filter-media samples through composite processing and volume production.
