CHEM began as a manufacturer of electric motors and generators during Taiwan’s early industrialisation. It subsequently expanded into high-voltage gas-insulated switchgear and developed integrated capabilities covering equipment design, manufacturing, substation engineering, construction, testing and maintenance.

Its electric-power business supplies GIS equipment, electronic meters, smart AMI meters and distribution-automation systems. These products are used in power plants, substations, industrial facilities and other critical electrical infrastructure to protect, measure, switch and control electricity flows.

The company’s system-integration operations cover central air-conditioning, electrical and mechanical works, plumbing, fire-protection systems, instrumentation, generator sets, property maintenance and energy-management services. These capabilities allow CHEM to support complex facilities such as semiconductor plants, data centres, airports, metro systems, hospitals and large commercial buildings.

In response to energy-transition requirements, CHEM has expanded into hydrogen fuel-cell generation, battery energy storage, solar power, microgrids and EV-charging infrastructure. Its energy solutions combine conventional power equipment with distributed generation, backup power and digital energy-management systems.

CHEM also operates parking facilities through the Dodohome brand and provides EV-charging services through iCharging. Its CNC and precision-manufacturing operations serve the aerospace, semiconductor-equipment, renewable-energy and heavy-machinery sectors.
