Company Introduction
Trade Link ITE Sdn Bhd developed and managed industrial trade exhibitions connecting machinery, machine-tool, metalworking, automation, robotics, precision-engineering and manufacturing-technology suppliers with professional buyers throughout Malaysia and Southeast Asia. In 2013, ITE Group acquired a 75% interest in Trade Link, establishing a stronger presence in Southeast Asia while founder Albert Lai remained CEO.
The company later changed its name to UBM Trade Link Sdn Bhd. A Malaysian court subsequently confirmed that Trade Link ITE and UBM Trade Link were the same legal entity following a name change. Today, the METALTECH and AUTOMEX portfolio is operated by Informa Markets Malaysia Sdn Bhd, connecting the Malaysian manufacturing market with Informa's wider Asian industrial exhibition network.
