Genitec began operations in 1993 as 智茂電腦科技有限公司 and entered the SMT and PCB production-equipment sector in 1995. Over the following decades, the company expanded into automated PCB depaneling and electronic manufacturing solutions, establishing manufacturing and service operations in Taiwan and Mainland China. In 2023, the company changed its Chinese corporate name to 智茂科技有限公司 while retaining the English name GENITEC TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD.
Its automated PCB depaneling systems incorporate technologies such as CCD vision alignment, precision multi-axis motion control, high-speed spindles and automatic tool-changing systems. Its equipment is used in electronics manufacturing for computers, networking products, smartphones, new-energy vehicles and servers.
